What makes your tallow different from other moisturizers?
Our tallow is made from 100% grass-fed and finished cattle, hand-rendered in small batches to preserve its natural vitamins A, D, E, and K—nutrients the skin instantly recognizes and absorbs. Unlike synthetic creams or seed-oil based lotions, our tallow delivers ancestral, bioavailable nourishment without fillers, fragrances, or harsh chemicals.
It’s a pure, whole-ingredient moisturizer crafted to support the skin’s natural barrier and restore lasting hydration.
Is tallow safe for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Yes. Because tallow’s fatty acid profile closely mirrors human sebum, it is non-irritating, gentle, and naturally balancing for most skin types. Many customers with sensitive, reactive, or acne-prone skin choose tallow because it moisturizes without clogging pores or causing inflammation. Our formula is unscented, seed-oil free, and made with only three ingredients, making it an excellent option for minimal, clean skincare routines.
Will the whipped texture melt during shipping?
During warmer months, the whipped texture may soften or slightly deflate in transit. This is completely normal for natural, oil-based products - and it does not affect the quality or benefits of the balm.
If your tallow arrives softened, simply place the jar in a cool area and it will firm back up. The nourishment, vitamins, and effectiveness remain exactly the same.
How should I store my tallow balm for best results?
To maintain its whipped, cloud-soft texture, store your tallow in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.
While temperature variations can change the texture, the product will always remain effective. No refrigeration is required - just simple, mindful storage to preserve the light, whipped consistency.
Can tallow be used on the face, body, and children?
Absolutely. Our tallow balm is gentle, nutrient-dense, and suitable for all ages and all skin areas, including the face. It’s commonly used for dry skin, irritation, barrier repair, baby care, pregnancy-safe routines, and everyday moisturization.
Because it contains no seed oils, fragrances, preservatives, or synthetic additives, it offers a pure and ancestral alternative to conventional skincare products.
Is whipped tallow good for eczema, dermatitis, or dry patches?
Many customers with dry, irritated, or compromised skin find relief with tallow because it contains skin-identical lipids, naturally occurring vitamins, and anti-inflammatory fatty acids.
While we do not make medical claims, our balm offers a gentle, ancestral option for those seeking moisture without synthetic irritants.
Does tallow clog pores?
Tallow is non-comedogenic for most skin types because its fatty acid profile closely resembles human sebum. Many customers with oily or acne-prone skin find that tallow actually helps balance their skin, reduce dryness, and calm irritation - without clogging pores the way synthetic lotions or seed oils often do.
Why don’t you use seed oils in your products?
Seed oils are unstable at high temperatures, prone to oxidation, and can disrupt the skin barrier. Our products are 100% seed-oil free because we believe in using ingredients the skin naturally understands.
Grass-fed tallow, organic olive oil, and beeswax provide ancestral nourishment, stronger barrier support, and a more stable, nutrient-rich formula.
What is the shelf life of your tallow balm?
Our tallow balm is naturally stable and contains no water, preservatives, or seed oils. When stored in a cool, dry place, it maintains its quality for 12+ months.
This long shelf life is one of the many benefits of using traditional, ancestral skincare ingredients.
How long does a jar of tallow moisturizer last?
A little goes a long way. Because our tallow is rich in bioavailable vitamins and essential fatty acids, you only need a small amount per application.
Most customers find that a single 2 oz jar lasts 1–3 months, depending on frequency and use. Its concentrated, seed-oil free formula makes it an exceptionally long-lasting moisturizer.
